For sale is a 1978-1979 Roper 16t Garden Tractor by Sears. It has a 16hp Briggs and Stratton Engine. Included is a manual category 0 3 point lift which is not complete. Transmission has a high and low range. It turns on with no problems and cuts grass as well. Tractor is not perfect and will need alittle attention. Belts may need to be replaced. Roper 6 + 2 Pac Power Train Rugged Roper-built all-gear transmission provides 6 precise speeds forward from.85 to 6.56 mph., plus 2 reverse speeds of 1.02 and 2.53 mph. Easy Speed Selection With Roper two speed ranges, you can match tractor power to mowing conditions, Gear down to drive the tractor slowly in tall grass.

From buckets to showroom quality! I bought an old Ford 9N last October that was more than a labor of love - although the hood, engine and transmission compartments were laid out, the rest was in 5 gallon oil buckets! I knew this would be the perfect project for my son and I. I bought a service and parts manual from SSB and that Ford became a 6 month learning project for us. We overhauled the engine, reworked the brakes, rewired the electrical system, fixed the cooling system and found original paint and decals, with parts from SSB. It might have been faster to buy a ready-built tractor, but I wouldn't trade that time for anything!
